LaTeX Templates for Slides

This page provides the LaTeX template for the slides with the layout of the LE2 at UTBM, of the IRTES Institute (obsolete), or of the IRTES-SET laboratory (obsolete).

All the following LaTeX templates are based on Beamer.


The following styles are been provided without warranty. But, you are welcome to give feedbacks by posting an issue on tex-templates on GitHub, or by sending an email to StĂ©phane GALLAND.

Installation of Beamer

Prior to the installation of the LaTeX templates for slides, you must install the packages from Beamer. Three ways are available:

  1. Use the beamer packages from your LaTeX distribution based on the CTAN.
    • You should have nothing special to do because the packages are already installed in your LaTeX distribution.
    • You should check if the version if beamer in your LaTeX distribution is compatible with your document.
  2. Install the packages through a Debian/Ubuntu package.
    • The packages are available on the default repositories.
    • Open your package manager (synaptic, or another), search for latex-beamer, and install it.
  3. Manually install the packages into your LaTeX distribution.
    • Download the tar.gz file from the official website of Beamer.
    • Unpack the downloaded file.
    • Copy the unpacked files into your LaTeX distribution.

Installation of the Beamer Themes

Three ways are available to install one of the templates, detailed below:

  1. Install the packages through a Debian/Ubuntu package.
    • The packages are available on the Debian repository provided by ArakhnĂȘ.org.
    • Please follow the instructions on http://www.arakhne.org/ubuntu.html to add the Debian repository in your operating system.
    • Open your package manager (synaptic, or another)
    • Search for one of tex-templates-le2iutbm-beamer, tex-templates-irtes-beamer or tex-templates-irtesset-beamer.
    • Install the package.
  2. Install by hand the packages into your LaTeX distribution.
    • Download the tar.gz file below.
    • Unpack the downloaded file.
    • Unpack the file with extension .tar.gz located in the upstream directory.
    • Copy the lastly unpacked files into your LaTeX distribution, or inside the directory where your main LaTeX file is located. Please read the documentation of your LaTeX distribution for details on the installation process (TeXLive, MikTeX).
  3. Manual installation from Github (for experts).

The following LaTeX code is a simple document that should permits to start to write your slides.

The example is given for the LE2I theme.
